Making the Most of Social Distancing: Online HOA Training

With Boardline, you never have to worry about leaving home because all of our training can be taken at your own pace, online. Make the most of your social distancing and continue your education!

In light of the recent events surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, external board training seminars by third party law firms and others have been canceled until further notice. With meetings and events postponed, many board members have more time as a result of the recommended social isolation. Fortunately, this time can be used to your advantage, as we at Boardline Academy, offer the opportunity to make up for these missed seminars and allow you to use that extra time to develop acumen with its expertise in board training.

The coronavirus situation developing globally has no doubt affected your HOA. While it remains a time of uncertainty, there are resources to help you stay informed and take precautions. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recently urged citizens to avoid interactions in places of more than 50 people. More updates can be found here. With these guidelines, the best course of action would be to postpone any upcoming association meetings, social events, and amenities to limit person-to-person contact. However, to still conduct HOA business, meetings can be held telephonically or electronically, using platforms such as Zoom. Remember that your community manager is here to help you navigate your association’s needs during this time.

You and your HOA’s health and safety is of utmost importance to us in the fight against COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) has provided advice to protect yourself. Find their tips here. The most important actions you can take are washing your hands often and effectively, participating in social distancing, avoiding touching your face, and staying informed. Please see resources and information for Texas here and Arizona here.

From all of us here at Boardline Academy, we hope you and your family stay safe, and, as always, reach out to us via our website or email us for any questions or concerns.
